Shram Sarthi Technology Pvt. Ltd. ("Shram Sarthi", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Shram Sarthi mobile application and website ("Platform").

By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

3 How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Match Customers with nearby Service Providers
  • Process bookings, payments, and refunds
  • Verify the identity and credentials of Service Providers
  • Send booking confirmations, status updates, and in-app notifications

  • Calculate and disburse commissions, rewards, and payouts
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity
  • Improve the Platform through analytics and A/B testing

4 Location Data

Precise location access is core to the Shram Sarthi service. We use your GPS location to:

  • Show nearby available workers or vehicles
  • Track active bookings (transport/taxi rides) in real time
  • Provide route and distance estimates

Location data is shared with the matched Service Provider during an active booking only. You can revoke location permission through your device settings, but this will limit Platform functionality significantly.

We do not track your location continuously in the background when you are not using the app or do not have an active booking, except where explicitly stated and with your permission.

5 Sharing of Information

We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Your name, contact number, and booking location are shared with the matched worker/driver to facilitate the service.
  • Customers: Service Provider's name, profile, ratings, and vehicle details are shared for booking purposes.
  • Payment Partners: Payment details are shared with authorized payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay, PhonePe) to process transactions.
  • Agents: Regional agents may access provider data in their territory to assist onboarding and compliance.
  • Legal Authorities: We may disclose data to government or law enforcement agencies when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users.
  • Analytics Providers: Anonymized and aggregated data may be shared with analytics tools for Platform improvement.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

6 Data Retention

  • Active account data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • Booking history is retained for 5 years to comply with GST and financial regulations.
  • KYC documents of Service Providers are retained for 7 years as required by law.
  • After account deletion, personal data is anonymized or deleted within 90 days, except where legal retention is mandatory.
  • Chat messages and negotiation logs are retained for 12 months for dispute resolution purposes.
